'The right price': How North Korea benefits from Russia alliance

Almost two weeks ago, a North Korean missile was allegedly fired during a Russian attack that killed a Ukrainian family. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed the missile was the result of Moscow's and Pyongyang's alliance. This suggests Russia may have received new supplies from North Korea at a time when Ukraine's air defenses are strained.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia cannot wage war without reinforcements from North Korea. He also claimed that up to 50,000 North Korean troops may be sent to fight for Russia, a major escalation in North Korea's involvement in the Ukraine war. Last year, North Korea sent around 14,000 soldiers to fight for Russia.

Recently, mourners gathered in Ukraine to bid farewell to the Voronov family, who were killed in the Russian attack. The family consisted of five members, including five children and their one-and-a-half-year-old grandson. Ukraine's military intelligence agency reported that a North Korean specialist missile unit had begun deploying to Russia, equipped with up to 120 ballistic missiles, six launchers, and 90 personnel.

South Korea is reportedly considering providing support for Ukraine's air defenses. The potential deployment of North Korean troops has not been confirmed. Experts warn that such an escalation should be treated with caution until there is confirmation.
