TH probe must set the record straight, says Armizan

Papar MP Armizan Mohd Ali has called for investigations into Tabung Haji to be conducted transparently, independently and professionally to ensure justice is served for all parties involved. The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah secretary-general stated that the issues surrounding TH's management between 2014 and 2020 have been a subject of political disputes, with slanderous accusations from various parties hindering the determination of truth.

Armizan emphasized that the government had to bail out TH to protect its 9.7 million depositors, but this required public funds, which could have otherwise been allocated to infrastructural needs and additional aid for people. He urged for holistic and transparent investigations to safeguard the interests of both TH depositors and the general public, warning against populist decisions that could lead to detrimental financial implications and increased government debt.
