Zelensky Reiterates Claim That Russia Is Using North Korean Missiles, as Ukraine War Escalates With Deeper Strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly claimed that Russia used North Korean missiles in Ukraine's ongoing war. In a video address on the 10th, Zelenskyy alleged that North Korean ballistic missiles were deployed during a Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia, where at least six people were killed and 19 were injured.

Ukraine reported six deaths and 19 injuries in the attack. Zelenskyy emphasized that for the first time, Russia fought a war without North Korean support, stating that Ukraine and Europe must endure more North Korean attacks and missile usage, intensifying the need for Russia to address its flaws and vulnerabilities. He further warned that such a situation poses a global threat, urging closer cooperation between Ukraine and Russia.

On the 25th of July, Zelenskyy had previously requested Russia to deploy an additional 30,000 troops to North Korea, and on the 8th, he confirmed that North Korea had decided to send up to 50,000 troops to Russia. Last month, Zelenskyy reported that a North Korean missile attack had taken place in Ukraine, claiming at least five deaths.
