The reform bill, which included higher taxes on vacant homes, was unveiled on August 3, but there were concerns from the majority of vacant home owners about the additional tax burden and the potential for an adverse effect on renters. The Democratic Party plans to hold a legislative committee meeting on August 13 to discuss the tax reform bill and housing supply measures.

The president stressed that he would listen to and consider any counterarguments, warning that mere criticisms would exacerbate social issues and conflict. He pointed out that policy decisions would always have room for interpretation and revision, regardless of whether they were made in the past or in the future.
