Once beloved as "Cheongsun Star," these actors have undergone a dramatic transformation, assuming menacing roles in new dramas and films. Veteran actor Yoo Seung-ho, known for his wholesome image, dons the sinister mask in the SBS drama "Big Money 2," where he plays the artistically rebellious yet corrupt son of a media conglomerate heir, Jinyoung.

The character, a notorious figure to the main character, is introduced via a teaser video displaying a sinister grin and a meek apology for his "worst crime" – undisclosed to the audience. Yoo's foray into villainy is not his first; he previously portrayed a psychopath in the MBC drama "Want to See." Nonetheless, Yoo is more recognized for his warm and affectionate roles.

Director Kim Jae-hong lauded Yoo for his ability to bring depth to a pivotal character in "Big Money 2," stating, "Without Yoo Seung-ho, it would not have been as compelling." Meanwhile, Oh Seong-wook made his initial foray into villainy with the tvN drama "Disgusting Love," based on the 2011 film of the same name. The story revolves around a wealthy heiress, Cheoneye, who believes in ghosts, and a determined homicide detective, Man-guk, who despises ghosts.

Oh's character, Gokmin, is initially portrayed as a rational and gentle business heir, but harbors ambition, complexes, and insatiable desires to succeed at any cost. Oh has held down a string of wholesome and agreeable roles since debuting on Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2" in 2017. The actor told a press conference about his transformation, expressing his lifelong desire to showcase diverse characters and his fascination with the female villain archetype.

Lastly, K-pop idol and actress Choi Soo-young took on the role of the head of a criminal organization in the recently released film "Okay Madam 2." The narrative follows ex-cop Mi-young, who finds herself entangled in the world's most notorious kidnapping case after embarking on a luxury cruise. Choi's antagonist leads the ruthless gang, adding a touch of charm and cruelty to her portrayal.

Industry veteran director Eocheon-ha commended Choi for perfectly embodying the complex role from their first meeting, praising her ability to bring a nuanced villain to life.
