‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Drives Steve Lacy, Tame Impala Onto Hot 100

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the movie that premiered on July 31, has introduced two songs to the Billboard Hot 100. One of these songs made its debut on Aug. 15 for the first time, while the other has returned to the chart after featuring in the superhero film. Tame Impala's track "Loser" climbed back to No. 46 on the Hot 100, while Steve Lacy's "Oh Yeah?" made its debut at No. 54.

According to Luminate, "Loser" garnered 6.3 million chart-eligible streams, 369,000 radio audience impressions, and 1,000 downloads in the United States during the week ending Aug. 6. This represents a substantial 1,155% increase in streams compared to the previous week's 504,000 listens. "Loser" secured its second week on the Hot 100, achieving a new peak in the process.

It initially debuted at No. 91 on Nov. 1, 2025, after the release of its album Deadbeat. Meanwhile, Steve Lacy's single "Oh Yeah?" debuted with 5.9 million streams, a 267% increase over the 1.6 million streams it earned from July 24 to 30. The song, the title track from Lacy's third studio album, had previously failed to reach the Hot 100 but did make it to the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs list on Aug.

1, ranking at No. 36. Both tracks returned to the Aug. 15 ranking within the top 10, with "Loser" at No. 7 and "Oh Yeah?" at No. 10. Other songs featured in the movie also made their mark on other Billboard charts. Bad Bunny's "EOO" has re-entered the Hot Latin Songs list at No. 2 due to a 48% increase in streams, going from 3.4 million to 5 million.

Additionally, Mrs. Green Apple's "Brand New" returned to No. 163 on the Hot Latin Songs list, with a 14% increase in streams (7.2 million) and 3,000 downloads. "Loser" also made its debut on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. list at No. 66, while "EOO" climbed to No. 66 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
