Singapore restaurant apologises after cooking seafood foraged from beach

Weeks after receiving widespread criticism and negative online reviews, the restaurant has taken responsibility for its actions. The incident involved the collection of various marine life, including crabs and clams, which were then cooked and served at the establishment.

The video has sparked outrage, with Member of Parliament Valerie Lee condemning the behavior as "deplorable" and highlighting the lack of respect shown to the environment and traditional foraging practices. In response, Havelock Palace has announced that it will strengthen its procedures, including stricter food source management, improved supplier documentation, a ban on unauthorised food sources, and additional training for its staff on food safety and proper handling.
