Sevilla signs Scottish striker Robbie Ure from Swedish side IK Sirius

Sevilla announced on Tuesday that they have signed Scottish striker Robbie Ure from Swedish club IK Sirius. The Spanish team did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but Ure, who is 22 years old, is set to play for Sevilla until 2031. Ure has been capped up to the under-21 level for Scotland and scored 15 goals in 15 appearances during the Swedish league's 2023 season, which started in April.

He netted 10 goals in his last six games with Sirius. Sevilla stated that Ure progressed through Glasgow Rangers' youth academy before joining Anderlecht's youth squads in Belgium prior to his transfer to Sirius. Last season, Sevilla ended with a 13th-place finish in the Spanish league, just one point shy of being relegated. The club's inaugural match of the current season will be against Rayo Vallecano at home on Saturday.
