Ryan Timms calls out Kyle Larson After Osky Challenge: 'He's a piece of sh*t'

Tensions arose at the Osky Challenge on Monday at Southern Iowa Speedway when Kyle Larson edged out Ryan Timms in the final laps to claim victory through a contentious pass. Larson gained ground with five laps remaining, weaving inside Timms into turn four and colliding with him. Larson's pass for the lead persisted, while Timms' damage to his nose wing forced him to settle for third place behind Corey Day.

This marked Larson's third consecutive Osky Challenge win, and his fifth victory in the span of six years. In the post-race aftermath, Timms expressed his displeasure with Larson. "I seen him coming up. Initially, I was going to try and drive around it. And I realized he wasn’t letting me, giving me any room," Timms relayed. "I lifted, slammed on the brakes, tried to turn it, and he still just ran right over me.

So he's a piece of sh*t, but it is what it is. I'll remember it, and that's that." Larson mirrored Timms' ire. As Larson celebrated his win, he admitted that he made some errors in the closing laps. "I'm sure it wasn't the cleanest move," he remarked. "I'm sure if anyone has followed his career, he's made a lot of mistakes as well."

Larson's car owner, Shane Liebig, was understandably upset with the incident, which led to a racial slur from Liebig towards Larson. Despite the incident, Larson and Timms exchanged a brief, stern exchange in Victory Lane. The two may face off again this week at the Granddaddy of Them All at Knoxville Raceway, but Larson will require favorable weather conditions for the rematch to take place.
