Riyadh to host global logistics, supply chain forums in November

Saudi Arabia will welcome two major global forums focused on logistics and supply chains in Riyadh from November 29 to December 1, 2026. King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will provide patronage to these events. The Global Logistics Forum (GLF), organized by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, and the UNCTAD Global Supply Chain Forum (GSCF), hosted in collaboration with the United Nations and the Saudi Ports Authority, will convene international leaders, decision-makers, and experts in transport, supply chains, and international trade.

These forums aim to strengthen Saudi Arabia's role as a global logistics hub connecting continents, foster innovation, and promote sustainable supply chains, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The co-location of these events is expected to serve as a catalyst for strategic initiatives and international partnerships, attracting global specialists.

The inaugural 2024 GLF in Riyadh attracted over 13,000 attendees, 140 speakers, and 80 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, leading to 67 agreements worth more than SR16 billion ($4.3 billion). The Global Supply Chain Forum highlights the Kingdom's leadership in supporting international trade, enhancing cooperation and logistical connectivity among nations, and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub linking three continents.

Saudi Arabia's strategic position between three continents makes it a crucial transit point for over 13 percent of global trade flows. The country's ports are among the world's leaders in operational efficiency and part of one of the fastest-growing port systems. Beyond its geographical advantages, Saudi Arabia has become a global leader and key hub for supply chains through significant strategic investments in infrastructure, digital transformation, and green-transition initiatives, solidifying its status as a dependable and influential partner in shaping the future of global trade.
