Republic Bank becomes title sponsor of JoyNews Habitat Fair

Republic Bank Ghana has secured title sponsorship for the JoyNews Habitat Fair, following a three-year partnership agreement with Multimedia Group Limited. The deal, signed at Republic Bank's headquarters in Accra on August 11, 2026, extends coverage to all Habitat Fair events across the Multimedia Group's brands and locations nationwide.

Republic Bank has previously served as title sponsor for the Habitat Fair organized by Luv FM in Kumasi for the past three years. Fiifi Koomson, General Manager of Joy Brands at Multimedia Group, emphasized that the new agreement is a "statement of confidence" in the Multimedia Group, with Accra brands covered for an initial three years.

Managing Director of Republic Bank Ghana, Dr Benjamin Dzoboku, highlighted the partnership's timing as Ghana continues to grapple with a significant housing deficit, estimating that 1.8 million housing units are needed in 2015. The challenge, he noted, lies not in supply but in affordability, citing low household incomes, borrowing costs, and land litigation as major barriers.

Republic Bank has been at the forefront of Ghana's housing finance since its inception in 1990, offering a range of products to support customers at different stages of the homeownership journey. Dr Dzoboku urged prospective homeowners not to abandon their dreams of owning a home, assuring them that the bank has various options to help them achieve their goals.

The Habitat Fair is set to expand to Ho, covering Accra, Kumasi, and the Volta Region, providing more Ghanaians access to information and opportunities in the housing sector.
