Police launch murder probe into woman's death in Logan

A woman in her 20s was found dead overnight in Logan following an assault by her ex-partner, according to police. Emergency services discovered the 27-year-old unresponsive in a bedroom at the accused's home, 12:30am. The man, aged 37, has been charged with her murder, which appears to have been caused by asphyxiation, Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said.

Police were alerted by a phone call reporting an unresponsive female at the address following the assault.
