Pakistani Rupee Defeats All Major Currencies Today

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) experienced a remarkable surge, closing in an upward trend against all major currencies on Tuesday. This bullish momentum marked the 217th consecutive day of gains for the PKR. By the end of trading, the PKR reached 277.67 against the US Dollar (USD), up three paisas from the previous session. Beyond the greenback, the rupee exhibited strength against a multitude of currencies, demonstrating its resilience and robustness.

The PKR consistently reported gains against the dollar since early December 2025, a trend that has only intensified over time. Other prominent currencies that witnessed the PKR's upward trajectory included the UAE Dirham (AED), Saudi Riyal (SAR), British Pound (GBP), Euro (EUR), Australian Dollar (AUD), and Canadian Dollar (CAD). The gains varied, with notable achievements against the EUR (91 paisas), EUR (0.9099), and AUD (66 paisas).

Despite the PKR's impressive performance, it remained stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) and gained only one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR). Similarly, gains against the British Pound (GBP) and Euro (EUR) were significant, with the PKR up 0.0966 and 0.9099 against these currencies respectively. The rupee also enjoyed gains against other currencies such as the AUD, CAD, MYR, MYR, CNY, and CAD, highlighting its strength across a diverse range of global currencies.
