Osun Election: ‘Why destroy my billboards if you’re sure of winning’ – Adeleke slams APC

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has criticized the All Progressives Party (APC) for allegedly destroying his campaign billboards. During a recent town hall meeting for Osun governorship candidates on Arise Television, Adeleke urged the APC to permit a free, fair, and credible election in the state. He defended the destruction of his billboards, stating that it increased public support for him.

Adeleke also dismissed allegations of militarization, clarifying that he lacks the ability and authority to mobilize the Armed Forces. "If you know that you can win, why are you destroying my billboards?" he asked rhetorically. He further stated that his opponents are merely engaging in mouth and propaganda. Adeleke emphasized that his opponents are hurting Osun's reputation, and the more they do so, the more people love him.
