The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has unveiled the schedule for the final mop-up round of online counselling for post-diploma DNB seats in 2026. This notification, issued on August 11, 2026, provides eligible candidates with an additional opportunity to secure a seat in the upcoming academic year. The final round will take place between August 21 and 24, 2026, with the login and choice/option filling process concluding by 5 PM on the final day.

The seat allotment processing will occur from August 25 to 26, 2026, followed by the announcement of allotment results on August 27, 2026. Physical joining of allotted candidates at their respective hospitals is expected to commence on August 27, 2026, and continue until September 1, 2026. This notification emphasizes that only candidates who registered for counselling and did not receive a seat in the first and/or second rounds are eligible for the final mop-up round.

Candidates are advised to consult the Post-Diploma DNB Counselling 2026 Handbook for comprehensive eligibility criteria and instructions. The seat matrix for the final round will be released prior to the commencement of counselling, allowing candidates to review available seats before making their choices.
