Murkomen condemns Gachagua’s Ng’eno death claims as ‘insensitive, shameful’

Nairobi, Kenya - Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has vehemently rejected former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's claims that contaminated jet fuel may have been responsible for the helicopter crash that killed former Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno. Murkomen dismisses Gachagua's allegations as "made-up, cooked-up nonsense" and accuses Gachagua of exploiting the death of a prominent Kenyan for political gain.

Gachagua raised these allegations during a speech on Tuesday, while providing an accountability statement about President William Ruto's four years in office. He called for investigations into unresolved high-profile deaths and alleged that fuel used in the crash was transported from Lodwar, questioning the circumstances surrounding its supply.

Murkomen strongly rejected these claims, stating that Gachagua was reviving Ng’eno's death months later as part of his political campaign. He pointed out that Ng’eno's family was still mourning and had not received any contact or support from Gachagua following the MP's death. Further, Murkomen emphasized that the Interior CS has no oversight over fuel supply or air transport supervision, challenging Gachagua to present the alleged intelligence and identities of those involved to investigators.
