Mumbai Nurse Alleges Stalking, Harassment By Acquaintance; Police Arrest Man

A 31-year-old nurse from the V.P. Road area in Mumbai has filed a police report accusing a six-month acquaintance, Amol Navale, of stalking, harassment, verbal abuse, and threats. According to the woman's complaint, Navale repeatedly called her and sent parcels to her home through various delivery services. The police registered a case against Navale and arrested him following the allegations.

The woman met Navale through Facebook about six months ago, and the two reportedly had a relationship for some time, communicating regularly over the phone. On August 6, when the woman's parents were unwell, Navale allegedly placed multiple orders for online food to her home without her consent. Later that night, around 10:15 PM, he allegedly approached the woman's building and called her, demanding she come downstairs and sit in his car.

When the woman objected to the parcels being sent to her residence, Navale allegedly verbally abused her using offensive language. The complainant stated that she was frightened by the incident and that the constant phone calls and deliveries had caused her significant distress. She subsequently reported the matter to the police, leading to Navale's arrest and the commencement of an investigation.
