Microsoft Teams will now let you really show off how good you are at your job — but it might make your co-workers cringe

This addition aims to provide a more uniform experience across Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Currently in development, the feature is expected to launch by September 2026 and will be accessible to users on both Windows and Mac devices worldwide.

Badges have been accessible to Microsoft 365 users since 2023, allowing them to display their skills and qualifications on specific cards, including Outlook and the Copilot app. The rollout of this feature is part of Microsoft's ongoing effort to enhance the platform's usefulness, such as the recent improvement in identifying and blocking bots during calls.

Additionally, Microsoft Teams is also developing a feature that will automatically update a user's work location when they connect to an office Wi-Fi network, although this may not be well-received by those seeking a quieter workspace.
