Man walks into Pune police station with bloody clothes, confesses to murder

A 25-year-old electrician, Hanumant alias Sagar Sudhir Kamble, arrived at Kalepadal police station in Pune City bearing blood-soaked clothes and a neck injury, claiming he had murdered Saifan Babulal Sayyed, 43. Kamble confessed to striking Sayyed with a stone over a family dispute, police revealed. The accused led authorities to Sayyed's lifeless body in Mohammadwadi, where the victim was discovered with severe head trauma.

Kamble, a Mohammadwadi resident and electrician, was promptly arrested and remains in custody. The deceased, a plumber from Rajiv Gandhi Colony in Tarawade Vasti, Hadapsar, was identified as Saifan Babulal Sayyed. The incident occurred around 10.30 pm on Sunday near a forested hill area close to Lakshmi Park settlement. Kamble reportedly blared loudly upon entering the police station, drawing attention to his injuries and bloody attire.

According to the FIR, Kamble accused Sayyed's daughter of improper behavior towards his family, sparking the confrontation. Police are probing the underlying family dispute and the events leading to Sayyed's fatal attack.
