Labour Ministry Advertises Audit Committee Positions

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in Kenya has opened applications for the positions of chairperson and four members of its Audit Committee. This recruitment drive is in line with the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, and related regulations. The chairperson must hold a recognized university degree and possess at least seven years of experience in auditing, financial management, or accounting.

They must also be a member in good standing of either the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya or the Institute of Internal Auditors, possess risk management knowledge, and meet integrity requirements as per Chapter Six of the Constitution. The four committee members must have a bachelor's degree and five years of relevant work experience.

They must also be members of a professional body, have an understanding of public service operations, and experience in risk management. All candidates must demonstrate integrity and comply with constitutional requirements. Interested individuals must submit their applications, including a CV, academic and professional certificates, a National Identity Card copy, and relevant testimonials, in a sealed envelope marked with the appropriate position title.

The deadline for application submission is August 25, 2026. Candidates shortlisted for interviews will need to present original documents, including a National Identity Card, certificates, and transcript results. They will also need to provide clearance certificates from various government bodies. The Audit Committee's role is crucial in enhancing financial oversight, risk management, internal controls, and accountability within public entities.
