Late mob boss John Gotti's reality TV star grandson, Carmine Agnello, has arrived at federal prison to begin a 15-month sentence for fraud. Agnello, who appeared on "Growing Up Gotti" in the mid-2000s, had sought to postpone his sentence by claiming he would donate a kidney to his ailing mother, Victoria Gotti. However, a federal judge denied his request for further delay, stating that there was no evidence of a scheduled transplant.

Agnello's lawyers argued that his mother suffers from chronic kidney disease and that surgeons needed more time to set a date for the operation. Prosecutors objected, noting that Agnello's recurring infections needed to be fully treated before a transplant could occur. Agnello pleaded guilty to wire fraud in 2024 for fraudulently obtaining $1.1 million in loans from a federal program meant for small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He used the funds for various ventures, including a $420,000 investment in a cryptocurrency business.
