I turned down Wawasan twice, says NS Bersatu chief

Negeri Sembilan Bersatu chief Hanifah Abu Baker revealed that he was approached by Wawasan leaders to contest in the recent state election under their party's banner. However, he declined these offers, stating that he believed Bersatu was the correct path for upholding religion, race, and national interests, and he had faith in the leadership of Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

This interview came after a meeting with Wawasan leaders, which took place both before the nomination and after the election. Hanifah, who previously represented Labu in the 2023 state election, was defeated by Barisan Nasional candidate Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, who secured 14,209 votes compared to Hanifah's 1,985.
