How Nigerian students can apply for NANS business grant

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has opened applications for the 2026 edition of its entrepreneurship programme, NANSInnovate. This initiative offers funding to student entrepreneurs across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education in Nigeria. NANS National President, Akinteye Babatunde, announced the applications in a statement, inviting students with business ideas or existing ventures to participate.

The programme aims to identify and support brilliant young Nigerians with innovative ideas that can solve problems, create jobs, and build successful businesses. Participants will pitch their ideas before investors, business leaders, and industry experts, with the top 20 finalists competing for cash prizes worth millions of naira.

Eligible applicants must be Nigerian citizens enrolled in a recognised institution of higher learning. Required documents include a valid student ID card, a business proposal in Microsoft Word format, and a 100-word pitch explaining the business, its significance, and how the funding will be used. The application process is free, and students should avoid paying anyone for entry.

NANSInnovate will run for a week, featuring learning sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship, and a national pitch competition.
