Harambee Stars midfielder completes Charlton move, reunites with Sichenje in London

Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy "Babu" Ouma has successfully secured a season-long loan move to English Championship team Charlton Athletic. The 22-year-old moves from Czech First League side Slavia Prague, with the deal including a potential permanent transfer at the end of the season. This marks Charlton's seventh new signing this summer, bolstering their rebuilt squad under manager Nathan Jones.

Ouma's move to Charlton reunites him with fellow Kenyan international Collins Sichenje, who joined the club in February on a three-and-a-half-year contract after transferring from FK Vojvodina. The pairing adds two established international players to the team, fostering development for both Ouma and Sichenje, as well as supporting Kenya's aspirations to increase its presence in English football.

Last season, Ouma spent time on loan in Poland with Lech Poznań, where he won the Ekstraklasa title and gained valuable continental experience. He has earned 12 caps for Kenya since his senior debut against Uganda in 2021. Ouma is expected to make his Charlton debut soon, as the Addicks kick off their Championship season against Derby County this Saturday, providing Ouma with a swift entry into English football's second tier and an opportunity to make an immediate impact in southeast London.
