Former AIADMK IT wing secretary Singai G. Ramachandran joins TVK

Singai G. Ramachandran, a former secretary of the AIADMK's IT wing, has recently joined the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) political party. This transition occurred on August 11, 2026, during a gathering at TVK's headquarters in Chennai, which was attended by TVK's president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. Ramachandran, who is the son of former AIADMK Singanallur MLA Singai Govindarajan, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from IIM Ahmedabad.

Before his role in AIADMK, he served as the party's student wing secretary. In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, held under the AIADMK banner, Ramachandran had campaigned for the Coimbatore constituency but finished in third place, behind candidates from the DMK and the BJP. This recent move by Ramachandran from AIADMK to TVK marks a significant shift in his political allegiance.
