Ewan McGregor Wants to Spend the 'Rest of His Career' Playing Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor is eager to continue playing Obi-Wan Kenobi for as long as Disney allows it. When speaking with E! News, McGregor reaffirmed his readiness for more Obi-Wan adventures, but admitted Disney isn't quite there yet. He explained that after the conclusion of the Obi-Wan series, he decided to leave Luke Skywalker to grow up under Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, only to encounter Qui-Gon Jin again in the mountains.

McGregor sees this journey as something he wants to pursue for the rest of his career, whether through series or movies. He noted that there are still ten years before he reaches Alec Guinness' age, so Disney should hurry up. The Obi-Wan Kenobi series, though well-received by critics and viewers, left room for more stories as the character's journey continues.

While Disney has reduced its production of Star Wars live-action shows, a potential second season or even a movie cannot be ruled out, depending on the success of Star Wars: Starfighter next year.
