Ernest Chemists mourns with Dagbon, donates GH¢70,000 to Palace

Ernest Chemists Limited (ECL) has shown solidarity with the people of Dagbon in mourning the death of the late Ya Na Abubakari II. The company presented a cheque for GH¢50,000 along with products valued at GH¢20,000 to the Gbewaa Palace on July 31, 2026. The delegation, led by Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager Clement Atagra, accompanied the presentation to witness the traditional proceedings and the installation of Kampakuya Naa Yakubu II as Regent.

Mr. Atagra expressed ECL's condolences to the Dagbon Kingdom, emphasizing that the passing of the late Ya Na was a national tragedy. He affirmed that the company views it as a duty to support the Kingdom during the mourning period, given its commitment to respecting culture and tradition.

The donation, totaling GH¢70,000, comprised both monetary contribution and valuable products. The ECL delegation received warm appreciation from the Palace, which also acknowledged the company's respect for Dagbon's cultural traditions and its solidarity during the period of mourning. The company's gesture underscores its dedication to supporting Ghanaian communities and honoring the nation's cultural heritage.
