Enugu Air reschedules Abuja flights following airport union blockade

Enugu Air has announced the rescheduling of some of its flights due to an ongoing industrial action at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The airline's public notice, issued on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, said airport operations were temporarily suspended after union workers prevented staff from accessing the terminal. The airline explained that this action may impact some of its Abuja-bound flights as it adjusts its network.

Enugu Air apologized to affected passengers, assuring their safety and wellbeing. Passengers were advised to check for updates via email, SMS, or the airline's social media platforms, and contact the Customer Service Team for rebooking inquiries. This development follows an ongoing dispute between aviation unions and airline operators, which has disrupted flights nationwide.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority had appealed to unions to suspend the action, but the matter remains unresolved.
