Detroit Lions to don ‘Rivalries’ uniforms vs. divisional foe

The Detroit Lions have announced that they will be wearing their new "Rivalries" uniforms during their Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings. The exact design of these uniforms has not been disclosed yet, but team president Rod Wood hinted at their appearance during the owners meetings this offseason. Wood stated that fans will likely appreciate the new look, describing it as "pretty cool" and noting that it will offer a "little wrinkle" to the existing uniforms.

It is rumored that the design of these rivalry uniforms will be revealed on August 25. Interestingly, the Minnesota Vikings have also announced that they will don their rivalry uniforms in their Week 15 home game against the Lions on Sunday Night Football. This year marks the debut of rivalry uniforms for both the NFC North and AFC South divisions, following the examples set by the AFC East and NFC West in previous seasons.
