Demand for caregiver jobs in Israel is huge: TOMCOM

Israel is experiencing a significant demand for caregiver jobs, according to the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM). The agency, under the Department of Labour, Employment, Training and Factories, reports a massive 350 job openings for those with a diploma in patient care or a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Candidates can also apply as multi-purpose health workers, general nursing and midwifery (GNM), or auxiliary nurse midwives (ANM).

The ideal candidates are aged between 25 and 45 years, with at least two years of post-registration nursing experience. The contract duration is two years. TOMCOM specifies that women make up 90% of the required workforce, while men account for the remaining 10%. The gross salary offered averages around ₹1.99 lakh. This demand follows the Telangana government's efforts to raise awareness about job opportunities for skilled workers and specific vocations.

A physiotherapist, P. Aishwaryarani, recently secured employment in Germany with a monthly salary of approximately ₹3.5 lakh. She completed a language course and attained the B2 level. Labour Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy presented her with the letter of employment.
