The Defence Ministry informs the regional government that it will not raise objections to the Chinese factory in Ferrol

Doubts about the project to install a Chinese electric car factory in Ferrol (A Coruña), where one of the largest arsenals of the Spanish Navy is also based, have dissipated in 48 hours. The Minister of Defence, Margarita Robles, has communicated this Tuesday to the President of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, that her department will issue a new report in which it will give the green light to the plan, according to sources from the Galician Government.

Uncertainty had arisen after it was disclosed that the Army and the CNI considered that the project could be covering up some Chinese espionage operation against military facilities.
