Blumira launches Hearth, an AI command center that spans rival security tools

Security operations platform startup Blumira Inc. has introduced Hearth, an AI-powered command center that integrates with various security tools from different vendors. Available to organizations that don't use Blumira, Hearth aims to streamline investigations and actions across identity, firewall, endpoint, and cloud tools without requiring a complete replacement of existing systems.

Positioned as an alternative to consolidation, Hearth consolidates the command layer rather than the underlying stack. It analyzes logs, toolsets, and the organization's public-facing attack surface simultaneously. Hearth generates reusable artifacts like digital forensics and incident response investigations, compliance evidence, and threat hunt playbooks.

The company highlighted four use cases at the launch, including full-scope DFIR investigations that establish severity, map activity to MITRE ATT&CK, identify affected entities, and recommend actions within minutes. Hearth also supports compliance queries, orchestration through existing integrations, and targeted queries for managed service providers to assess client fleets' exposure to vulnerabilities.

Blumira has been expanding its endpoint and identity threat detection and response capabilities, launching new features like Kindling auto-triage engine and Blumira Managed, a 24/7 first-response managed detection and response service. Founded in 2018 and backed by investors including Ten Eleven Ventures, Mercury Fund, M25 Group, RPS Ventures, and Array Ventures, Blumira has raised approximately $28 million in funding.
