Beeper now lets you merge all of your different app chats with the same person into one

Beeper, a messaging app, has introduced an update that allows users to merge chats with the same person from various apps into a single conversation. This feature is designed to simplify communication by consolidating interactions across multiple platforms. Instead of managing separate chats for each app, users can now engage in one unified chat with their contacts, regardless of the platform used.

Beeper's initial solution focused on integrating all your contacts from different apps into a single app. Now, the app is taking it a step further by enabling users to consolidate chats with the same individual across multiple networks into one seamless conversation. This means you can have uninterrupted dialogue with your contacts without having to switch between different messaging apps.

The update offers a streamlined experience, allowing users to focus on their conversations rather than the underlying chat platforms. While the author has mixed feelings about the potential loss of context that silos provide, the convenience of a unified chat stream is evident. Notably, Beeper is also rolling out customizable backgrounds for Android users, the ability to categorize messages into different labels, support for polls on select messaging networks, additional language options through the desktop app, and expanding several premium features to free users, albeit in a limited capacity.

Free Beeper users can currently test these new features for a limited time before being required to upgrade to Beeper Plus for continued access.
