Armed groups attack security offices in Hasakah and Qamishli, Syria

Unidentified groups attacked internal security offices in the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli in Syria on Tuesday, according to Syrian officials. The Hasakah Media Directorate reported that groups, described as "outlaws," carried out assaults on several internal security offices in the cities, following recent unrest in Ras al-Ain.

In Hasakah, groups removed the Syrian Arab Republic flag from one of the offices and physically assaulted it, while in Qamishli, attackers targeted security personnel inside an office. The attacks resulted in the destruction of multiple internal security vehicles, prompting an increased deployment of security forces in various locations within both cities.

The directorate stated that these reinforcements are intended to quell tensions, preserve public order, and protect citizens as well as private property.
