49ers CBs explain what makes WR De'Zhaun Stribling so impressive

Rookie 49ers wide receiver De Zhaun Stribling has caught the attention of the team's cornerbacks in training camp. Their praise is not centered on his speed, but rather on his exceptional catching ability. Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir highlighted Stribling's superior catching skills, stating that his hands are his greatest asset.

He can catch the ball away from his body, thanks to strong fingertips. Nickelback Upton Stout agreed, praising Stribling's handwork and speed, believing he will be a valuable addition to the team. Stribling's hands are 10 inches long, comparable to the size of defensive tackle Alfred Collins. While many initially considered Stribling a reach at No. 33 in the 2026 NFL Draft, he has quickly become one of the most discussed players in training camp.

The rookie has been singled out for his solid performance on contested catches, with wide receivers coach Leonard Hankerson noting that he has not dropped a single such catch during the camp. Stribling has been working primarily at the F and X positions, potentially replacing Jauan Jennings as a starter and providing depth behind Mac Jones at X.
