You can now pay for apps on Google Play using your Venmo account

Google has added a new payment method to Google Play, allowing users to pay for apps and in-app purchases using their Venmo account. This feature is now available to all users, following an early test with Android Authority. To utilize this option, users must link their Venmo account to their Google Play account. This process involves navigating to the Play Store app, tapping the profile picture in the top right corner, selecting Payments & subscriptions, and then Payment methods.

Users should see an option to Add Venmo at the bottom of the list. This integration joins Venmo with other third-party payment options such as Cash App Pay and PayPal. The new feature may appeal to regular Venmo users who wish to spend their accumulated balance or avoid sharing their payment information directly with Google.
