Delaware will host the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Texas Tailgaters in Banana Ball for the first time this August. This marks the 11th season for the franchise, which now includes six teams. The game format, created by Jesse Cole, aims to speed up play and appeal to casual fans.

Key rules include scoring one point per inning, except for the final inning where every run counts. Games are limited to two hours, and batters cannot step out of their box, which results in a strike. Bunting is prohibited, and batters can steal first base when there's a wild pitch or passed ball. Walks are not allowed, and a wild pitch allows the batter to advance at their own pace, touching as many bases as possible.

Fans can win a "Golden Batter" slot, allowing their favorite player to bat at any time. If a fan catches a foul ball, it's an automatic out. The season culminates in a "Showdown Tiebreaker," where teams compete in a series of mini-games until a winner is determined. Tickets are limited, with a lottery held earlier in the year.
