‘We first shoot and then talk’: Tabu slaps, wields lathi in Slumdog, watch teaser

The makers of Puri Jagannadh's upcoming action entertainer, Slumdog - 33 Temple Road, have unveiled a teaser featuring Tabu's character, Gauri Hegde. Gauri is described as a fearless and powerful Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. The promotional clip showcases Tabu slapping and confronting individuals, wielding a lathi in one scene.

She delivers a line to Vijay Sethupathi's character that encapsulates her approach: "In our style, we first shoot and then talk." The teaser concludes with Gauri stating her designation aloud, emphasizing her authority in the film. Puri Jagannadh, known for his attitude-driven characters, shares the video on social media, introducing Tabu as the "gem of Indian cinema" in this role.

This marks the first collaboration between Tabu and Puri Jagannadh and a return to South Indian cinema for the actress. Slumdog - 33 Temple Road is set for a pan-India release in five languages and is currently in post-production.
