US military depletion of defense systems not a sign of weakness in prolonged war with Iran, expert says

Military analyst Diaa Qaddour asserts that the United States' arms arsenal remains among the most advanced in the world, despite its ongoing support for two major conflicts and reported depletion of certain defense stocks. Speaking to Al Arabiya FM, Qaddour pointed out that America's military prowess is sustained through continuous production, development, and modernization of its weaponry.

He elaborated on the strain caused by supporting both the ongoing war in Ukraine and the protracted conflict with Iran. This dual commitment has led to the exhaustion of numerous US military defense platforms, air defense missiles, and precision-guided munitions. However, Qaddour emphasized that this situation does not imply the United States is devoid of capacity to confront Iran.

Qaddour further explained that the US possesses alternative strategies, including ramping up weapons production and eliminating bureaucratic hurdles that impede the manufacturing process. Reports suggest that the Pentagon is experiencing ammunition shortages as a result of the prolonged war against Iran. Consequently, the military has been compelled to request additional missiles. Nonetheless, former President Donald Trump has refuted these claims.
