UAE to open registration for 2027 Hajj season on September 14

The UAE has announced that registration for the 2027 Hajj season will open on September 14, according to the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat. This registration will be accessible through the authority's smart application and website until September 25. Applicants will be chosen through an automated screening system based on Cabinet Resolution No. 32 of 2018 and approved eligibility criteria.

The selection process is expected to conclude on October 9, after which the names of approved pilgrims will be announced. Once selected, applicants will be contacted to finalize the necessary proceedings. The authority has commenced early preparations to adhere to the established schedule and ensure ample time for completing registration, screening, and services for pilgrims.

Strategic plans are being devised to offer pilgrims comprehensive support, both within the UAE and at the holy sites in Saudi Arabia, with the goal of facilitating a seamless and comfortable Hajj experience. The UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office's performance in past Hajj seasons is credited to ongoing development, performance evaluations, innovation, and the utilization of available technologies to enhance services.

The authority emphasizes that the 2027 preparations will build upon these achievements, with a primary focus on elevating the experience and services provided to UAE pilgrims. Saudi Arabia has also begun early preparations for the 2027 Hajj season, emphasizing operational readiness. In 2026, over 6,200 Emiratis were approved for Hajj, and Saudi Arabia opened registration via the Nusuk platform.
