Thousands welcome home Cork camogie champions

Thousands of people have gathered in Cork's Grand Parade to cheer on the triumphant All-Ireland Senior Camogie champions. The Rebels pulled off a remarkable second-half comeback, defeating Galway with a final score of 2-14 to 0-19 at Croke Park. As the victorious team took the stage tonight, they were greeted with the famous Rebel roar.

The squad made their way to the parade in an open-top bus, following their return from Croke Park by train to Leeside. Earlier in the day, the team visited Mallow before continuing their journey to Kent Station. The homecoming festivities began earlier with entertainment from Ken Perrott of Cork's 96FM and C103, as well as speeches from Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Cork's Lord Mayor Councillor Damian Boylan, and the Mayor of County Cork, Councillor Bernard Moynihan.

Ken Perrott and Finbarr McCarthy, who served as master of ceremonies, welcomed the players and management team to the stage, leading cheers from the crowd. The O Duffy Cup, the championship trophy, will be presented to Cork captain Meabh Cahalane at St Finbarr's in Togher later tonight.
