The Spurs still believe in De'Aaron Fox as their starting PG after his rocky NBA Finals

In a disappointing performance during the NBA Finals, San Antonio Spurs' starting point guard De Aaron Fox struggled significantly. Over the course of the five-game series against the reigning champion New York Knicks, Fox averaged a mere 12.8 points, six assists, and three rebounds per game and shot just 34.3 percent from the field.

His mistakes, particularly in the crucial Game 4, were quite embarrassing. However, despite this lackluster showing in the playoffs, San Antonio does not seem to be considering any changes to their current starting point guard. According to ESPN's Michael C. Wright, Fox is still expected to be the Spurs' opening-night starter at point guard, even with the rise of second-year player Dylan Harper.

Even though Fox played through a high ankle sprain during the Finals, his contributions during the regular season, including playing most of last offseason and the start of the regular season with a hamstring injury, show his value to the team.
