Despite internal conflicts and recent layoffs, the reunion was a huge success, with everyone seeming to have a great time.

John Carmack expressed his excitement, stating that it surpassed his expectations and that it was one of the best times of his life. Adrian Carmack, who has not seen John Carmack in 20 years, shared similar enthusiasm and called the experience amazing. Tom Hall also praised the reunion, calling it amazing to see all their old notes on DOOM.

Brenda Romero, co-founder of Romero Games, shared a heartfelt message thanking everyone for the best weekend ever. Donna Jackson, known as the "id mom," surprised the founders at QuakeCon, showing her long-term commitment to the studio. American McGee, who was fired in 1998, credited Carmack and Romero for transforming his life beyond imagination.

The reunion was a reminder that not everything in the video game industry has to be negative, and it was wonderful to see the id Software founders so happy to see each other once again.
