Seoul to hold event offering glimpse into fully automated city

Seoul, the bustling capital of South Korea, is set to host a groundbreaking event, Smart Life Week 2026, showcasing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into everyday urban life. The three-day exposition, held from October 6 to 8 at the COEX convention center, aims to demonstrate how AI is transitioning from data centers to the streets, transforming public infrastructure and civil services.

Co-hosted by the World Smart City Organization (WeGO) and organized by the Seoul AI Foundation, the third annual event aims to build on the success of previous years. Last year's Smart Life Week attracted over 60,000 visitors, 330 companies, and delegates from 130 cities across the globe. This year's theme, "Where AI Meets Life, Cities Become Better," underscores Seoul's commitment to becoming a global leader in AI-driven urban development.

The event will focus on practical AI applications, including autonomous robots, advanced public transportation systems, and smart city infrastructure. Attendees can expect to witness demonstrations of cutting-edge technology that is poised to revolutionize the way cities operate and serve their citizens.
