Security forces kill 5 terrorists in intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Panjgur

In an intelligence-led operation in Balochistan's Panjgur district, security forces eliminated five terrorists, including a prominent Fitna al Hindustan commander named Wazir, according to Radio Pakistan. The mission, part of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, targeted the Sarkini and Chedgi areas, resulting in the seizure of four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons, and ammunition.

Fitna al Hindustan refers to India's alleged involvement in terrorism and destabilization in Pakistan. The deceased were accused of engaging in activities such as robbery, extortion, kidnapping, and targeting local traders and residents in Panjgur. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed praise for the security forces' professionalism and dedication to combating terrorism, emphasizing the elimination of these elements as crucial for lasting peace and stability in Balochistan and across the nation.

This operation follows another successful intelligence-based raid that claimed the lives of 15 terrorists across multiple Balochistan districts, including Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai, and Nushki, under the same operation. As Balochistan continues to grapple with security challenges, the latest operations underscore the province's ongoing struggle with security threats.

According to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies' recent assessment, Balochistan's security situation worsened significantly in July, with a 241% increase in overall deaths, a 933% rise in security personnel fatalities, and an 18-fold surge in terrorist deaths. The province also witnessed a 93% increase in civilian casualties and the loss of 18 peace committee members.

Recently, security forces and law enforcement conducted Operation Shaban in response to a deadly attack on a police post in Ziarat, where 27 officers were killed.
