Schools in UP to conduct online classes today amid Kanwar Yatra: District-wise list

Across Uttar Pradesh, schools will remain shut on August 10 due to the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, with private institutions opting for online classes to maintain academic continuity. District administrations in Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Muzaffarnagar have already ordered closures, affecting government as well as private schools affiliated with various education boards, including CBSE, ICSE, and Madarsa Board.

Colleges, universities, and technical institutions in these areas are also under closure, as district administrations prioritize the safety of students amidst the surge of Kanwar pilgrims and potential traffic congestion. Many private schools have decided to hold online classes following the usual timetable to complete the syllabus within the 8-day closure period.

Authorities have emphasized strict adherence to the order, warning of severe consequences for violators. Schools in Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Dhanbad are expected to reopen on August 13, with students and parents advised to monitor school broadcast groups and official circulars for updates on online classes and holidays.
