Sara Tendulkar after Arjun’s wedding: ‘Walking away before you’re married is a great step’

Sara Tendulkar spoke to Vogue India about her perspective on her brother Arjun's wedding in March. She found the event to be a useful trial run for her own future marriage. Sara revealed that she initially imagined a grand, pastel-colored wedding, but has since decided on a more intimate affair, possibly opting for a traditional red color scheme instead.

Despite being a Libra and known for her indecisiveness, Sara remains open to the possibility of choosing a different color. She also discussed the importance of walking away from a marriage if it's not working out, attributing this mindset to her generation's increased confidence and empowerment compared to previous ones. Sara's parents, Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar, serve as a template for her ideal relationship - characterized by friendship and a lack of power dynamics.

She values the banter and camaraderie between her parents and aspires to replicate that in her own marriage. Sara's closest bonds are with her best friends, whom she considers her soulmates, echoing her belief that romantic soulmates do exist. The wedding took place at a private venue in South Mumbai, with Arjun, a successful Mumbai entrepreneur, marrying Saaniya Chandhok.

Chandhok, an entrepreneur and granddaughter of businessman Ravi Ghai, is reportedly close to Sara. Sara donned a multi-hued lehenga with a red base for the ceremony, which may have been a nod to her stated preference for the color.
