Ring in 2027 With the Backstreet Boys: Band Adds 3 New Year’s Shows to Las Vegas Sphere Residency

The Backstreet Boys are set to celebrate the turn of the decade with three new shows at their popular Las Vegas residency at the Sphere. The boy band announced the addition of performances on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day in a press release on August 10.

According to the statement, the decision to add the extra shows was due to "continued fan demand." The Backstreet Boys have been performing their iconic "Into the Millennium" residency at the Sphere since July 2025, with the group performing for an estimated 750,000 fans across 47 sold-out shows.

Nick Carter, Howie D, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson have all taken part in the residency, which has served as a nostalgic celebration of their 1999 album, "Millennium," which spent ten weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 charts. In a June interview with Billboard, McLean explained that the band's goal with the residency was "to take people on a journey, taking you down memory lane, back to 1999, and asking everyone to wear white." The residency features both a traditional concert experience and a film projected behind the band.

The news of the additional shows comes after the group completed a series of performances at the Sphere in July. When they initially began the residency a year ago, they became the first pop act to headline the Vegas arena. The Backstreet Boys recently released a new single, "Bottle Up," from the soundtrack of "Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie."
