‘Rehearsed, well-practised, planted’: Court on allegations against Brij Bhushan

In a 239-page order, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashwani Panwar declared the sexual harassment allegations against former BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to be "rehearsed and well-practised as well as planted" and part of a "deep conspiracy, which seems to be politically motivated." The court cited inconsistencies in the survivors' accounts, documentary evidence contradicting the alleged dates and circumstances, and evidence of tutoring as factors in their decision.

Additionally, the court noted that the survivors maintained cordial relations with Singh and continued to meet higher authorities after the alleged incidents, which the court found "highly improbable" that the acts were true.
