Our tourism minister is from our stock but has failed – Broadcaster Austine Woode

Ghanaian broadcaster Austine Woode expressed disappointment in the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, during Joy FM’s ninth edition of Showbiz Roundtable. Woode, who is from Kumasi, criticized Gomashie for not visiting the location to build the Kumasi theatre and not engaging with stakeholders about the issue.

Gomashie, in response, acknowledged in the Government Accountability Series that she had identified infrastructural projects needing completion in the Ashanti Region and suggested completing them instead of building a new theatre. The event featured industry figures discussing the government's commitments, policy implementation, and the future of Ghana's creative economy.
